Bale..

Super - I see your point, but lets remember, as it stands, Bale is our player under contract, Barcelona are known for their bullying tactics just ask the Arsenal fans! We need to be happy with the deal and if a player is involved it must be beneficial to us, not just a way to make or break the deal. Its very rare a player + cash deal ever comes about though so lets see, i still think its a year to early for Bale but thats just me
If Barca were to offer say £50 million, it will be in installments which wont be much help to us to try and sort out our squad

Redknapp on Bale to Barca reports: "I don't know anything about it. I wouldn't think there's a slightest bit of truth in that. #thfc #spurs

Hope he is right though.

RRP worrying stuff if the truth. Although I never heard anything from the Barca players trying to tap him up, as is the norm from them.

RRP player and money transfers are rare, but definitely not unheard of with Barca. Most notable one of course was the one with Ibrahimovic and Eto.
Maybe im overly negative I can just really see Bale leaving us this summer, though not to Barcelona

My understanding is that La Marca is the Spanish equivalent of the Daily Fail. So until the Fail start repeating it every day in the summer : .

Usual nonsense from the Media, this time the Spanish. Managerless Barca are in poo street following a massive outcry from German and Spanish people complaining that the tax man in Spain has offered to 'write off' millions owed in tax and vat. The Germans are complaining since they lent the Spanish government billions in bail-out (scuse the pun) and the Spanish are complaining because they are being asked to take massive pay cuts while wealthy footballers pay less tax than a civil servant (only about 20% duty). For them to find £40m plus £25m wages would cause riots in the street. I wouldn't be in the least bit surprised if goony leaning journos in UK are planting these stories to unsettle Spurs before this weekend.

And of course Levy is going to bend over and sell Bale to Barca for 40m euros..... at least 20m euros less than his true value.
£50m (pounds) and Levy may start talking...... but thats a big may!

This attempted tap-up started in Spain ages ago.
They want Bale. They will not pay the Levy tax.
It will have to be paid, regardless of the form it takes.
