Mclaren are FINITO!

So long as Twitmarsh is team principal there is absolutely no hope whatsoever for Mclaren, they will never ever win anything WCC, WDC... Slow pitstops continue to plague Lewis together with a failed launched control system! I think Mclaren need to bring back Kovalainen!

Button is just not up to the task his presence at Mclaren is just merely devisive, he has 'successfully' rallied the team behind him to the complete detriment of Mclaren, they rely on him for data which clearly has not taken the team anywhere, he has allowed his head to be messed up with fallacies from Martin Brundle that he is the smoothest thing out there!

Mclaren will never ever ever ever...... win anything under their current team principal!

Again a strong drive from Lewis, just keep doing what you do best and pls don't even think of re-signing with Mclaren, they are just plain ameteurs, even if they offered you shares in the company!

Jenson used to be good at managing his tyres. Now he's just profligate.

Also fastest laps is not an indication. Overall race pace is what you need to look at.

The fastest lap thing doesn't tell the whole story though. May be useful to look at each lap time over the course of the race.

It appears the upgrade to the car is preventing JB from switching on the tyres quicker because he's been pathetic for the last couple of races

well i can do that just by looking at where they finished.

that's the thing im trying to understand though, so i neeed to look at something other than that to try to understand it.

now that sounds like it might be leading somewhere...

any chance you could you explain that further ?

I'll try to explain, they way I inderstand it. Mclaren changed the nose of the car in a bid to get more downforce and since then JB has struggled to make the tyres work. LH took to the upgrade like a fish in water so I'm suspecting the upgrade suits his style better than JBs.

JB is very smooth, he drives his car almost like a 250cc motogp bike where everything has to be smooth to make it work whilst LH can throw the car around like a 1000cc motogp bike that doesn't mind a slide here or there.

LH prefers oversteer whilst JB prefers udnersteer but he's been complaining about understeer with the car. From what I understand they aren't sharing set ups anymore so JB has to work out how to get the best out of the car.

It does make Mclaren's decision to not have any of them at the test bizzarre. Especially JB

ManU, ManU I see you still pandering the old wornout myths about Button, listen dear mate he is only smooth because he is slow, try doing that on the motorway you'll also conserve your tyres!

This logic continues.. Hamilton is driving slower and preserving his tyres look at Barcelona!

ManU stop doing this to yourself, watch races, use your brain and stop listening to people like Brundle who failed to win a single race in their career and definately stay away from the British press!

is there a way of finding each drivers' fastest lap at each race ?
---------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fastest lap details for any race can be found at the F1 web site.
This is the page for Monaco

http://www.formula1.com/results/season/2012/869/7083/fastest_laps.html

Other timing information can be found at the FIA media centre pages

http://www.fia.com/en-GB/mediacentre/f1_media/Pages/timing.aspx

If you have an iPad you can purchase a timing app from F1 where you can replay any part of the race and see the detailed lap times and gaps for any driver for any lap. IF you jail break your Ipad the app is free.

Jenson's race was over before it even started. He failed to qualify in a decent position. Then on the opening lap he was caught up in the crash.

He spent the majority of the race outside the points and only 8 laps in a points position as a result of 3 cars in front of him pitting. He then pitted and was back out of the points.

I think that the McLaren reliance on extremely poor quality weather forecasting dictated every single move they forced their drivers to make. "Stay out stay out don't worry heavy rain is due any minute and we will jump the rest because they foolishly believe it won't rain"
