Jocky Wilson

A true legend. My favourite player of all time. Reason for this is he played with a cigarette in his left hand whilst chucking the darts (as they all did). But most of all is because he played Eric Bristow in Portobello Town Hall (Edinburgh) in 1984. Bristow got drunk and mouthed off to the fans - who to be fair had chucked a can of Export at him - and wee Jocky was not chuffed about this one bit. The mouthing from Eric - not the can throwing incident, that was perfectly acceptable. So, after the game (which Jocky won) he's asked The Crafty Cocky outside for a square go. They went into the car park. It wasn't pretty. Wilson 2 - Bristow 0. And that's why Eric's nose is squint. And, that my friends, is the difference....
