He SURELY can not do any worse than our current strike force are doing. I don't care if you think Gervinho/Giroud/Podolski are quality or not, they are currently not up to the task and all look shot of confidence and simply do not work when they play alongside one another, this is not even worth debating because it is all factual.
If Arshavin comes in to the team and plays crap, fair enough, drop him again. But at least give him a facking chance because one thing for sure is if we persist with the same attacking formula we will not beat QPR and we won't even manage the 2 consolation goals of last season in our upcoming thrashing at Old Trafford.
Ok, NOW can Arshavin play?

Lex, people went way OTT with Cazorla. I said all along he is a quality player but he is not world class. He does not make space for himself like Cesc used to, teams mark him out of the game easily and then we have nobody else in the squad who can hurt them.

Which is why Arshavin should play because he CAN hurt them.

Hey, as long as we don't move Cazorla out wide to accomodate Wilshere, eh?
Cause that would be... like a really bad idea.

We had a chance to win the premier last year if Arsene had started Arshavin every game to sit just behind RVP instead of continuously playing Ramsey.
Its a bit late now. Song and Arteta were better defensively to cope with Arshavin's lack of hustle. Arteta and whoever is NOT.
That means playing Arshavin will be a liability. And Arsene is not going to put Cazorla on the wing. Cazorla did better defensively yesterday than Coq. He needs to stay in the middle. And Ramsey in the team already means we play with 10 men. Can't afford to play with 9.

We sourround our best players with dross and wonder when opposite teams get behind our one dimensional tactics. That happen for year now. So tell us something new.
Our board takes no risks and invest in the depths of our team. We can't afford to lose a player like Cazorla due to injury e.g. and we are facked up. We have no cover or similar players who could replace him. That goes for all our key players now and in the past.

I'm still furious.

What made me even more annoyed was that I was agreeing with Tony Gayle. I hate Tony Gayle but when he talked about watching the team get slowly worse and worse over the season he was right.
I hate myself for agreeing with Tony 'kin Gayle.

In fairness to Tony Gayle, he used to co-commentate alongside Jonathan Pearce on Captial Gold.
Almost every Arsenal home game was broadcast, so he's seen us play a lot over the years.
He used to pick holes in us even when we had the likes of Henry, Overmars, Bergkamp... in the side. Little wonder he rips into us now then.
I agree though. I hate agreeing with people like him.
