You probably didn't read the full article. Not saying were gonna sign anyone, but I have no idea how you missed the quote
"We are always looking for good quality players,"

But I agree. It's really sad that we wont get Heskey!

It was the lack of Heskey that cost us the Champions League

I did see that but that quote goes without saying, every manager is looking for good quality players doesn't mean they'll sign them, I do believe that is it for this window.

I can understand Fergie and United's stance on Sneijder, no point breaking the bank for one player i'm glad United are not going to give in to players demands, but I am a bit disappointed that Nasri wont be coming, I really thought he was as good as signed a few weeks ago.

if fergie doesn't bring a midfielder then we are weaker further in the middle and we are knackered! We can all see it for 2 seasons now and yet no midfielders come. But glad we haven't broke the bank for wesley, but if carrick or fletcher get injured we are really struggling. Just need some back up, why not Arteta at Everton, or give Parker a 2 year deal??? Just need someone as the forwards win us the game which is fine but boy we really need someone as if it's Gibson as cover, I'm worried!

I will wait until the season starts before i believe this.

How on earth can Fergie just ignore the fact we are so weak in central midfield ?

Its been 2 or 3 years now and still he does nothing to address this problem.

You would have thought the embarrassing run around that Carrick, Park and Giggs got against Barca would have finally made the penny drop for Fergie.

If he truly does not go out and address this problem them we can look forward to another season of average performances and being shown up against the very best.
