Week 14 Predictions!

Hello guys! Week 14 is under way and here are the games for the week! Big games include my very own Texans going up to Boston to take on the Patriots which could be a preview of the AFC Championship game! Not feeling too optimistic about this game due to injuries to key defensive players. Other big games are the Giants taking on the Saints in what could be a gunslinging duel between Brees and Manning. Should be an interesting one. Big rivalry game between GB and Detroit should also be a tasty match up.
My predictions:

Thursday, Dec. 06
Denver at Oakland / Denver

Sunday, Dec. 09
St. Louis at Buffalo / St. Louis
Baltimore at Washington / Washington
Philadelphia at Tampa Bay / Tampa Bay
San Diego at Pittsburgh / Pittsburgh
Chicago at Minnesota / Chicago
Atlanta at Carolina / Atlanta
Dallas at Cincinnati / Cincinnati
Kansas City at Cleveland / Kansas City
Tennessee at Indianapolis / Indianapolis
N.Y. Jets at Jacksonville / Jacksonville
Miami at San Francisco / San Francisco
New Orleans at N.Y. Giants / N.Y Giants
Arizona at Seattle / Seattle
Detroit at Green Bay / Green Bay

Monday, Dec. 10
Houston at New England / New England

Feel free to discuss last week's results and reaction, I would be happy to hear them!

Agree withy you on the whole.

Really do fancy Dallas to win at Cinci though, Demarco Murray looks like he may play and Dallas win when Murray gets carries.
Was pleased to see my NFC East predictions from last week came to fruition to really make the final weeks exciting.
If Breesus hadn't been chucking quite as many picks recently I might have gone with the Saints to beat the Giants but they generally do well against pocket passers due to their pass rush, they'll pressure Brees into errors.
Washington will win again and will remain tied (record wise) with the Cowboys, both one behind New York.

I'd like to say the Chargers will win on the road at Pittsburgh but who am I kidding?

I'm also going out on a limb with Carolina to turn over Atlanta.

Houston @ New England is the toughest call, there are a lot of factors.

The Pats defence have done ok against the run, they need to limit Foster, if they can't Schaub will run play action all day.
The Pats also had two of their main pass rushers missing against Miami although the rookie Jones may be back.
The secondary will be massive concern for them, Andre Johnson has had some big games and I don't see who in the Pats secondary could stop them.

The Texans also have a number of injuries on defence mostly at linebacker, will be interesting to see who covers Hernandez.
Pass rush is a strongest area and the Pats have some holes on the front line, other than Solder at LT most of the pieces have been massively mixed and matched, with the starting guards both missing time as well as the RT Vollmer who has been superb this year struggling with a back injury, which will be massive if he's missing with Watt lining up at Left D End.

Will be a great game, gutted I'm not going to see it.

Hey guys, I'll be back on later with my predictions but just a quick word on last week's first.

Of those I didn't get that's the last time I get vocal with Jags support they made Fitzpatrick look good

Didn’t see the Rams beating the 49ers at all – unlike others, well done - I wonder how many of the Kaepernick supporters are still calling for him now?

I watched the Seahawks beat the Bears and I am delighted for them and Wilson in particular. His last two drives up the field were tremendous and deserved to win any game. On a slight aside does anyone know why the Browns chose Weeden over Wilson?

I am also delighted the Steelers won – being a Pats fan, the Ravens loosing is good thing – but especially for Charlie Batch, I only saw bits of this but after last week it was good to see him play well.

And finally the Cards... what can I say, beaten by the Jets.. not good Dog, not good

So I've gone for Baltimore mainly because they rarely loose two in a row.

I think that the Vikings and the Bears will be close but chose the Vikings as they have home advantage and the Bears seem to be unravelling a little bit.

It was a an emotional day for the Chiefs last week but on the road this week, against a team showing a tiny bit of form will just be too much I reckon.

Finally I have gone for the Texans over the Pats. Not what I would like but I think that they will just be too powerful for us. As ghost mentions, I fear for our secondary.

I won't get to see that one though, will catch the highlights on Tuesday.

Thank you, Thank you

"Think St. Louis will stop the 49ers, Cappernick has struggled when teams have sat back in zone coverage but thrived when they've rushed and played man, the rams can rush effectively with 4 and they have a good secondary, if they do that I think they will win."

If only I was a betting man.

Number of teams passed on Wilson because of his size I think. He's kind of small for a QB, but that doesn't mean he's going to bust. Anyways, they believed Weeden was a quicker learner due to his experience and age. Kind of hard to believe he's 27/28.

LOL at the fact that we picked the other team to win on Monday. It's been like that in the states too, Pats fans picking the Texans to win and vice versa. I fear for our secondary...If Joseph isn't even 90% healthy, we are going to get crushed.

First off, welcome cinciwolf, did you make it to the game

Not the best week of predictions from me but other things made up for it

I watched most of the Ravens - Skins game. If everytime I pick the Ravens they loose, then I'm gonna keep on picking them.

I saw the highlights of MNF earlier today and I did not see that coming at all. We have the weapons on offense but against such a well balanced and good team I didn't think it would be a victory let alone a blow-out.

A couple of weeks ago I was hoping that we might sneak second seeding in front of the Ravens but now I'm thinking we might even get 1st. Although I appreciate that as well as the Texans, the Broncos and probaly even the Ravens are still very much in the mix for this.

We will probably need it as well, I don't like the thought of heading to the Reliant Stadium in the playoffs, with the Texans having revenge on their minds.

One final note on last weeks games with the Steelers and Bengals loosing and the Jets winning, the Jets are now only one game behind the play-off positions
