Lee Camp

According to The Mirror, Lee Camp has told Steve Mc and the Forest board that he wants showdown talks regarding a potential move to Swansea.

Full Article :

Lee Camp wants crunch talks with Nottingham Forest - because he is keen on a move to the Premier League, with Swansea City.

Northern Ireland international Camp, has seen a 1.5million pound bid rejected and is now looking for the reasons, or the valuation on his head.

Camp is interested in going back to the top level - even if Swansea isnt the most lucrative switch, and he plans to speak to McClaren and other Forest officials today (Wednesday)

There is no quote from Camp so it could just be lazy journalism, or a Mirror reporter is a Swans fan and wants the interest drummed up?

I cant help but feel we would take a huge step backwards in letting him go, unless the bid was 'Manchester City-esqu' and we got 5m-10m for him.

and Trees, De Vries was out of contract a few weeks ago and has already joined Wolves. So they have no first choice keeper as yet
.....

Didn't realise that Denim,

It's still a disgusting offer though amount wise ...

I want him to stay as well, just pointing out that he may not have to sit on the bench if he did go there.
We should not be selling for less than £5m in this stupid, over-inflated market when you think about the cost of finding and signing a replacement..

that would be the problem finding and signing we dont do that at forest

Or we could go 3 years without signing a 1st team keeper. There's always Smith, personally I would pick Darlow or even Mytides ahead of him though.

Agreed kev,

I always thought keepers were massively over-rated

We could bring in another midfielder if we sell Camp. play 4-5-2.

Camp is interested in going back to the top level

...except he was never there. You can't go back to somewhere you haven't been. Terrible journalism really.

Yet you say he is worth £5m, based on what?
No disrespect intended to Camp who has had 2 fantastic seasons (that is all) but he is not worth £5m, at least not to anyone outside of Nottingham. Yes £1.5m would be pretty derisory but anything around the £2.5m mark would be a good deal for you but only if you had a replacement lined up.
Do you feel you are under pressure to sell him?

Cathy.....

I was just passing on an article id read......in which i stated it looked like lazy journalism and 'maybe a Swans fan reporter trying to drum up interest' which is close to 'the guy who wrote this hates Forest'
