Javier Farinós

Villarreal are boosting their promotion hopes after signing midfielder Javier Farinós as a free-agent.

Farinós, 34, will join Villarreal until the end of the season after recovering from a hip injury.

The holding midfielder had been without a club since leaving Levante.

He boasts the feat of representing the four big clubs in the Valencian community: having turned out for Valencia, Levante, Hércules and previously playing with Villarreal in a loan spell.
