League 2 Tournament Preview Group A

Here are the previews for the upcoming League 2 Tournament hope you enjoy!

Group A

Terry

Team: Rotherham United

Odds: 14 – 1

Previous tournament performances: Quarter-finals, Group Stages

Terry was unlucky to miss out on a place in the knock-outs last tournament, his inability to finish matches off let him down, unfortunately for him he has been drawn in the hardest group ever seen at these tournaments! Whilst a good player I can’t see much for him in this group and expect him to lose against everybody bar JAG who it will be a close game.

Verdict: Group-stages

SpursBoy

Team: Aldershot

Odds: 1 – 2

Previous Tournament performances: semi-final, winner, winner, winner, semi-final

The winning row came to an expected end last tournament with Voom and Barcelona finally ending the run, but SpursBoy is back and I tip him to win this tournament. Ironically he will probably find the group-stages harder than the knock-outs! With Voom, Comu and Tyke all to play in this group it would only be a minor shock if he exited, but he won’t.

Verdict: Winner

Comu

Team: Torquay

Odds: 5 – 1

Previous tournament performances: Final, semi-final, quarter-final,
quarter-final

Comu’s first couple of tournaments went great with a final and a semi-final appearance respectively, however they have taken a bit of a dive recently with only quarter-final appearances, which is not great for somebody who harbors hopes of winning the thing. This group could very much signal his first ever group-stage exit, but he will take it down to the wire, no easy points from Comu!

Verdict: Group-Stages

JAG

Team: Gillingham

Odds: 12 – 1

Previous tournament performances: semi-final

JAG did well to get to the semi-final a few tournaments ago, but it did help him having a favourable draw, no such luck this time! I expect him like Terry to give a good account for themselves, but will collect very few points.

Verdict: Group- Stages

Voom

Team: Burton Albion

Odds: 2 – 1

Previous tournament performances: semi-final, winner
Having fast established himself as a quality player on here, Voom went and beat SpursBoy along with collecting his first title last tournament. Determined to show he is no flash in the pan he will want to repeat the same thing again and will have to if he is going to win a second consecutive title, people always ask me who is better Voom or SpursBoy? I would SpursBoy, but Voom has a chance to change that.

Verdict: Runner-up

Tyke

Team: Rochdale

Odds: 4 – 1

Previous Tournament Performances: Final, semi-final, group stages, group stages, quarter-final, semi-final

Constantly improving from my group-stage debacle I made the semis of the last tournament and won the ‘spin-off’ tournament. Whilst that doesn’t count for much in these tournaments it is still something well achieved. Sadly I’ve drawn one fookin hard group and I don’t think I will be consistent enough to get out of it; they can be assured I won’t go down without a fight.

Verdict: Group-stages

You battered me in the first half and should have been 5-0 up. But in the 2nd half I went attacking and had a couple of chances. Didn't know you were that good, best player I have matched so far and yet you say you won't be making it out of the group stages in the upcoming tournament.

Thank you Terry, you aint seen nothing till you play Voom and SpursBoy!

Didn't enjoy knocking you out tbh, glad you made it that far!

Hopefully everyone makes it to this tournament instead of signing up and not appearing

BTW you did a fantastic job last tournament. could have easily cancelled it with the amount of people who did not turn up.

Hopefully we both make it through to the Quarter Finals

Good luck mate, meet you at the tournament

When Voom beat Spursboy at La Liga it was like that scene in Terminator 2 when the T-1000 was slamming that metal into Arnie, our hero was being crushed
