Is anyone really bothered...?

...After that 1st one day international? Even if it was exciting at the end?

In the context of recent results for India, this series holds a lot of importance of them.Another series defeat will encourage media to start Dhoni exit talk allover again.

On the other hand this series presents England an excellent opportunity of winning ODI series in India for the first time after (only Allah knows) so many many years.

Wetherby, yes am getting a bit worried we need to start winning more league games. On the other hand, if you'd have told me could be in the final of the Capital cup and (potentially) win it I'd have bitten your hand off - trophies are just as important!
On the cricket side, I'll say it again Neon - i bet theres more sold out days over here in the Ashes series than there is in the one-dayers.

Like most on here I prefer test cricket but as an England fan I will watch them whenever they are playing whatever the format. One day cricket has always been popular and i don't think they will have any problem selling tickets for the matches against Australia. For the casual fan it means they go to the game and see a result on the day not a part of a match and a lot of people prefer that.

The most boring conversation is surely whether Murali's bowling action is legal?

.................

And Malinga.

Malinga's is illegal, MURALI is not.

"comment by Neon - and on, and on, and on (U6361) Dr - on average, across the world..ODI cricket is watch more than test cricket."

On average, football is watched far more than cricket - doesn't mean it is better!

I must say I don't think England seem to take one day cricket as serious as test match cricket so why should the fans. No Anderson, Swann or Trott in this series.

I must say though I am very impressed with the emergence of Joe Root.

If anyone is bothered about the one dayers the actions and views can be found on this link.
