Worst performance of the season

Our worst performance of the season by a long, long way.

Carrick and Ando didn't turn up, yet another utter pissh poor performance from Welbeck he is utter Sheite, when in Kagawa going to turn in a decent game? And yet another mistake from DeGea.

For a good deal of time in the whole game we looked like we were in the bottom three and playing away, a half dent team would have ripped us a new one about ten times over, we were Sheite, Sheite and double Sheite. And don't try to say I'm not a fan ........... We were crap and got lucky

Thing is, Hafi, none of those teams we've beaten are near the level of the top CL teams. They're Europa league standard.

We haven't been tested by a top team this season. I don't consider any of the top premier league teams being top CL teams any more, and I include United in that.

Prem is not te league it was.

No team that includes Ronaldo, Ozil, Di Maria, Benzema, Higuain, Ramos, Pepe, Khedira, Alonso, Modric, Coentrão and Marcelo is a 'cake walk'.

The CL is pretty much all Real have this season, they will raise their game.

Real madrid is not a top team either. Not in their state. They may have quality players but there is not team spirit there. Check the past few winners, and more than actual skill, was their cohesion. Chelsea, inter, all the way back to liverpool were far from the best teams talentwise, but they did have a sense of urgency.

All we need is a sense of urgency.

Doesn't mean we can't beat them though.

Madrid had their share of ups and downs this season so far

Didn't they just hold Barca to a draw? They've improved a lot since the slump they've had at the start of the season.

If they show up we will go out, because they're a better team than us. They've been able to raise their game for most of the bigger matches this season, they'll probably do the same against us.

Kagawa, I understand your frustration as I do normally feel the same way too. I was actually cursing and screaming 'where are the f... players' in the last 15 minutes or so as it seemed we were playing with 2 men down by that stage.

However, I have come to accept that SAF treats the modern football as a squad game. Hence he'll look for an opportunity to give the fringe players a game even if it means playing them out of position. While this tends to make our games laboured and scrappy, we tend to get by in most of the games and it keeps our squad fresh compared to other teams who run their star players into tiredness quicker. I know people say Ronaldo and Messi always play in Spain but can you compare the physicality in Sapin to England. What SAF does (and albeit with good results) achieve the short term goal quietly while keeping an eye on the long-term goal. Believe me, this is not something that is easily achievable.

I am amazed real madrid man utd game is so close now. First time in near 10 years since we last played each other competitively. It always seemed real madrid would go out early so man utd never really had the chance to play them.

Kagawa26 I'm sorry son but you are aknob, feckoff leave he forum.

As for a settled back four, do you live in a cave or as I said you are aknob, Rio, Vidic, Smalling, Jones, Evans have all had long injuries, it's fecking impossible to play the same back four when half of em are injured and teams like Southampton, Wigan, Fulham etc should pose a problem for any of our players outwith the useless Welbeck And Kagawa
