bonsoir peeps -- martial artist here with another instalment of driver similarities
having watched the career of "our nige" mansell and seeing hamiltons unfold i can see similarities in both there respective driving abilities and to a certain extent there personalities ,
both very talented drivers but both not particularly clever behind the wheel in relation to some of there rivals , both capable of getting the job done given the benefit of the best car on the day but at times both have come unstuck against cleverer drivers -
both had fragile personalities that wore there heart on there sleeves , mansell needing the full and unconditional support of his respective teams and fans to get the best out of him and lewis seemingly needing the support of his family and girlfriend and rosco the dog and lord knows who else to stop him from having fits of despair during a race weekend -
as to which driver would have prevailed if they had been team mates , just about impossible to say as both were impressively fast and skilful if not the best of there respective era"s ,
however mansell for me was without a doubt a better wet weather driver than hamilton which makes me think that nigel might of had a little more in his locker in terms of outright ability than lewis -
as for there respective WDC achievements --- 1 wdc was about correct for mansell given his ability against better drivers in his era and his limitations against those drivers ,
as for lewis who knows --one has the impression that vettel will get stronger and stronger on every level as the seasons go by and hamiltons engine advantage which ends after this season may hurt him after years of having this advantage.
and indeed vettel and alonso will prevent hamilton from winning anymore WDCs for the next few years ,
------------ any thoughts ?

Mansell`s probably the unluckiest sports,an ive ever seen. He could have won 3 titles easily and to say that he was a limited driver or someone who achieved his maximum potential with 1 WDC is very unfair; he was a great racer and a terrific driver.
