So, there i was in Puerto Pollensa at my hotel a week back and guess who was in the hotel where i was staying with his family?
Only Ryan Sidebottom.
Had a good old chat and a few beers and i wished him the best for the rest of the season, whilst his kids played with my daughter.
Looks like the rest had the desired effect. Yorkshire full in control today.....!!

Yup another great day for Yorkshire. Hugely impressed with you guys this year, not just the players but the intent within the team. Patterson being such an unsung hero amongst a team of big names, he always seems to do the job, and well this season. Good side. Very good side.

Great fast bowling foursome Bearded - Patterson, Siders, Brookes and Plunkett. And thats not forgetting Bresnan and Ashraf of course. Looks a side that will be at the top for some time.
Ryan told me he was hoping to play for at least a couple more years but only in the Championship and 20 overs competitions - he hasn't been picked for the 40 overs stuff

Along with the bowling is the batting, mainly in Alex lees. Been watching cricket for many a year and he's the best young player I've ever seen play, a truly gifted player to watch live. Lions game after only 9 FC game sums him up. Credit to Boycott for picking him years ago but looks the best young player produced for years and years.
