Put simply, I'm rather excited about this potential partnership at Ferrari for the 2014 season.
It is a rarity nowadays that two of the recognised top drivers are paired together at one team.
Arguably the last time this occurred was in 2007 at McLaren, although of course at the time Lewis Hamilton was a relative unknown quantity - but on reflection we now know that we did have two of the top drivers paired.
If Ferrari can produce a competitive car next season things could be very interesting.
Raikkonen is as cool as they come - perhaps more so than any driver that I can recall (more so than Mika imo). It will be interesting to see how Alonso reacts if he finds his limelight at Ferrari being shared and even put under pressure. Alonso strikes me as very emotional and a complete contrast to the Finn. It all bodes for something quite different at one of the top teams than we have seen since that 2007 season imo.
How I sincerely hope this potential pairing comes to pass. It for me adds to the growing excitement of a potentially very interesting 2014 season.

Poor martial artist (U9033) has never really understood the purpose of a discussion forum such as JA606. He doesn't realise that a forum is an open debating forum for anyone to comment on any thread instead he genuinely believes that it is a private one to one messaging service whereby an individual such as he can actually “TALK” (his word) to another named individual without anyone else “butting in” or “gossiping”.
As for debate, MA doesn't understand the meaning of the word. He has never debated with anyone. He just declares that he is right and then avoids any debate via a well practiced routine of evasion, contradiction, distortion, and false claims.
So let us look in detail at the debates he started and then squirmed his way out of .
1. McLaren will not have the Mercedes engine in 2014 – When Mercedes bought Brawn both Mercedes and McLaren stated that McLaren had options on Mercedes engines for 2014 and 2015 which only McLaren could decline to take up. This was well known by everyone interested in F1 – hence not MA.
Result = argument over, debate closed.
2. The 2013 McLaren car will be the fastest because it is an evolution – McLaren themselves stated that 2013 car was a fresh design and a revolution not an evolution.
Result = argument over, debate closed.
3. Rosberg is not good enough to win at Monaco – He led the race from start to finish.
Result = argument over, debate closed.
4. Monaco is a Low Downforce Circuit – It is not.
Result = argument over, debate closed.
5. The last years of Michael Schumacher's career were a damp squid – I will happy to concede that one to MA providing that he confirms that he still believes his comment to be valid.
Result = awaiting confirmation from MA to close debate.
6. The 2014 rules will result in Mercedes losing their power advantage – There is no proof that they will. Mercedes calculate that their 2014 engine will have the same horsepower as 2013. The rules enable a manufacturer that starts 2014 with a power advantage can keep that advantage.
Result = awaiting proof from MA to substantiate his claim.
7. Colin Chapman was a genius – he built death traps that many drivers would not touch. His cars were as dodgy as his financial dealings.
Result = argument over, debate closed.
8. Jim Clark had “whims” - there is no evidence to support that claim.
Result = argument over, debate closed.
9 You have to watch a driver before you can comment on him – Nonsense comment.
Result = argument over, debate closed.
10. Lewis Hamilton has a dog on a lease – I think he bought it actually or it may have been a gift.
Result = awaiting MA to confirm it is on a lease as he claimed. If it is then is there a buy out claws?
11. Massa had the better of Kimi – the facts seem to suggest that they were evenly matched. They raced together in 44 races, each had 6 non classified results. Massa finished ahead of Kimi in 17 races and Kimi finished ahead in 15. Massa had 21 Podiums and Kimi 22.

Thats a lot of typing to be wasting on someone who refuses to debate by his very own admission. Someone who says no one can ever change his opinion is not here for a debate.
Why not simply choose to ignore him, this place is much more pleasant when you only engage with those here to enjoy and debate F1

Sometimes it is necessary to correct flasehoods if only to prevent them from being repeated.
