What a film!

I hold my hands up, i'm not a massive fan of Formula 1 and not been interested since the days of Damon Hill in the blue and white williams renault . I also was not aware of James Hunt and Niki Lauda ( I knew their names but never knew the history).

The film is a must see and had me hooked from beginning to end and you don't need to be a massive F1 fan to go see this film.

What I want to know, from you F1 purists and fans that maybe lived in that era or certainly know alot about it is was the film accurate to true events or was it dramatised for film purposes?

Like when Hunt smashed the reporter in after his outrageous question to Lauda did that actually happen? I hope it did (fair play to Hunt!).

I am glad that you enjoyed the film. So did I

It is very difficult to take historic events and then portray them accurately in a popular dramatic format.

The film script was not meant of be spot on but tried to portray the two individuals personalities.

So Hunt probably did not hit the journalist but he did hit a lot of other people.
