WM30 Dream Card

What the title says......

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Prime Time Players vs. The Usos (Tag Team Championships)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Big Show vs. The Wyatt Family (Gauntlet Match)
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some random women's match
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Ryback vs. Dolph Ziggler (World Heavyweight Championship)

Ryback as a comedy heel World Champion coming in, sort of a weasel heel who thinks he's a monster yet doesn't take life seriously except when he's been embarrassed gimmick (trust me it'll work a treat). Ziggler as an aggressive face on the edge. Ziggler wins, at some point during a decent title run he pulls a CM Punk and flips heel.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Seth Rollins vs. Roman Reigns

Culmination of a Shield break up feud. Last of 3 matches between the two (Reigns wins the first two). Rollins is the face. Reigns is the heel. Rollins wins the match, Reigns gets the last laugh.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cody Rhodes vs. Dean Ambrose (IC/US Title Unification Match, #1 contenders match for Extreme Rules)

Match which serves multiple purposes. First of all, during the build up both are granted plenty of air time + given one Raw main event slot. The unification stipulation serves as a device to pave the way for 2 things, 1) another one for the World Titles within the year, and 2) the creation of a brand new mid-card title - fresh history, fresh sense of prestige. And the no.1 contender stipulation is because, sadly, it'll need it to seem like a big deal (main reason for unification stipulation being necessary). Regardless of the winner, both guys should be rammed down our throats in 2014 - in Rhodes's case it should act as his last chance.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Triple H vs. Randy Orton

Match placed bang in the middle of the card, Mania's historical can swing either way slot. Basic redemption angle along with the culmination of some McMahon family tension caused by HHH's sole decision to bump Orton as all of their champions (read on). One of those feuds that gives the fans the freedom to create the face and the heel, but either way Orton goes over BIG (yes this is personal for me ).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
CM Punk vs. Daniel Bryan (30 min anything goes Ironman Match for the WWE Championship)

The premise here is one of these guys, doesn't matter which, sold out to HHH and replaced Orton as the companies chosen champion some time between Survivor Series and the Royal Rumble. The "sell out" (who comes in as the champion) transforms into a gimmick closely resembling Jericho's 08-10 persona - if Punk with a bitter tint, if Bryan with a whimsical tint. Self explanatory feud psychology, match takes care of itself, basically the ultimate smart fan finish to an angle catering to the over analytical smart fan. Give the demographic what they want
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Rock vs. Brock Lesnar (w/Heyman)

Every Wrestlemania needs a quality popcorn match, throwing all technicalities out the window to showcase name vs. name, brand vs. brand. Very rare WWE has an opportunity to do this without having to search externally for the showbiz name(s) + figure out these awkward stipulations to get them on the show. Everything just comes together here..... doesn't need to be anything show stealing - just a basic, clear cut storyboard match (Rock vs. Heyman on the mic will take care of the build up by itself).
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Main Event :
John Cena vs. Undertaker

Now the only match remaining involving Cena which carries any intrigue with me, and one of the only matches left I wish to see Taker involved in (in an ideal reality it would be a career vs. career match). Whatever the case Taker's match must be the main event, no exceptions - but this would simply be recognition for the main two guys WWE have built Mania around over the past 10 years. Just makes sense.

Anyone got anything better and/or different?

Brodus has such a creepy smile, he is big and out of shape which kinda lends itself to the leather face mold. In the sense that we should be laughing at the out of shape, weird looking social reject, but in all actuality he is pretty damn capable of dispatching you.

I dunno, its just a different type of big guy that appeals after hordes of Mason Ryan's, Lashleys et all who were muscle bound Adonis's but no charisma at all. (I now exclude Ryback from that list as I actually want to see how he plays out after Youtubing his recent efforts.)

On the topic of the thread tho, I wouldn't mind seeing a Lesnar vs Undertaker you know. Remember when Taker was supposed to get Brock over but did the opposite back at the end of the attitude era? Problem is where would that leave Brock...?

I've got alot of time for Skip Sheffield, I thought the Ryback character was broken beyond repair the day after Wrestlemania. How he's managed to reinvent himself over the last 4-5 months is commendable - he's proven me dead wrong as I saw no future for that character as a heel. I didn't think of it like that but you're right, his present mocking of his own weak intimidating factor is the root of his appeal right now. My type of comedy heel, never been of fan of the in your face Fandango style heel.

Only two names spring to mind for this year's Wrestlemania regarding Taker - Cena or Hogan. It may seem slightly nit picky, but for me there's a big difference between Brock/Taker at WM29 and Brock/Taker at WM30. This time last year Lesnar had a strong novelty factor surrounding him only enhanced by his stiff ring style imo, he was a very believeable brutaliser. Now a year on the inevitability of time has worn that novelty thin through no fault of his own, the match doesn't have the same intrguing qualities it had 12 months ago where with clever booking you actually could've got the best of both scenarios (i.e. a believeable streak killer + a guy people wanted to see pummeled). The other glaring option is obviously Sting, but his problem is simple, he's just not a believeable streak killer because of his brand name being laced with WCW & TNA - that's a dream match for Survivor Series

With Cena, you stick on a career vs career stipulation tag and promote internal gossip which would filter through to the dirt sheets that WM30 might legitimately be Cena's last match. Then you have possibly the ultimate streak killer (big drawback being it might have to be reserved for Taker's last match). And with Hogan you have the same subjective effect the HHH matches had, where the smart fan subconsciously is stuck in a duality between a train of logic telling them a Taker job is farcial in the circumstances but a nagging voice reminding them of his opponents enormous backstage ego forcing them to contemplate the impossible in the heat of the moment

The Hogan one would be the best one yet imo! The 2 also have history, remember the tombstone on the chair in 1993? I'll always remember that show.

Taker vs Hogan IMO (providing Hogan was in cup final shape) would be magnifique now u think of it.

I think they should have a Family Feud Theme for WM30..

Cody Vs Goldust
Brie Vs Nikki
The Usos Vs The Matadores
Kane vs Undertaker
A Mcmahon Family situ - Triple H & Randy Orton (with Steph in the corner) v CM Punk and Shawn Michaels (with Shane o Mac or Vince in the corner)
Natalya / Prime Time vs Tamika/ Shield members.
Daniel Bryan Vs John Cena (brother in law show
down)
The Rock vs Roman Reigns

something like that...

^ on the topic of 'themed' shows, I'm somewhat surprised WWE hasn't attempted to brand Wrestlemania as such in recent years considering they've done it with all their other PPV events. Why should WM be any different?

Some might disagree with that premise of yours, but I could imagine much worse cards than that, it sounds really entertaining. I had a similar concept for WM28 being 'old school vs. new school'

The Rock vs Roman Reigns is a great shout. The new Rock vs Rikishi?

Don't care how old they both are I would mark out like crazy for Undertaker vs Sting, found this awesome edited video of a Sting debut to interrupt Undertaker > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rBMF0mX-vn0

I'd imagine WWE's idea of a perfect card involves Ryback vs. Goldberg, Taker vs. Sting, Cena vs. Hogan and Austin vs. HHH or Orton.

If they manage to grab him, I wanna see them have the balls to book Goldberg vs. Brock II (seriously, I wanna see it )

Winners;

Usos - new tag team champs.
RVD - retains.
AJ Lee - retains.
Cody Rhodes
Damien Sandow - retains.
Roman Reigns
Daniel Bryan - would never happen I know
Bray Wyatt
CM Punk - new wwe champ
Taker

Only glaring from my card is that I couldn't incorporate Brock Lesnar somehow even though he'll be there.
