New Zealand - Doing well

I am surprised by the strength New Zealand have shown at home over the last couple of seasons and especially against India here. Could we be seeing a revival in New Zealand cricket? Will they be able to win away from home?

What do we think?

They are getting close to the Fleming days but don't be fooled by their win over a very average India side!

Indian Bowler are Rubbish. They are a decent Home team but thats about it.

We're a young side that is improving every time we step out onto the ground. However we are a long way away from becoming any kind of force, particularly in other countries.

Also I've been shocked at how poor this Indian side are, they have faltered at every tricky period in this tour.

They've been seriously disappointing.

NZ is definately improving. They have a large pool of young fast bowlers. Their batting is shaping up well. Depending on what sort of pitches they play they have a good chance of winning.

If they played in Bouncy pitches they can give threat to any team.

But again, every team these days is performing very well against India, so cannot really go into conclusions

If Neesham and Anderson can improve on there bowling then NZ have two frightening genuine all rounder's. Both are young but have potential to be more than just a 5th choice bowler.

What NZ need is better openers and someone to finally replace Vettori.

This is exactly what they need. A couple of decent openers and they will be quite well set.

Jezzer,

New Zealand team got huge talent which I witnessed in the recent series against India. But again we have to wait until they face better bowling attacks like Pak, revived MJ, SA etc. We have the worst bowling attack in the world and I really mean it. We are even behind Bangla, Zimb, so you can't measure yet. Anywaz good luck to New-Zealand in future tours !

Kiwis have plenty of talent in the shorter formats however there is along way to go in Test Cricket especially away from home.

They have done very well in the recent home series win vs Windies & India.

Southee is the future. He is the closest thing they will have to Hadlee.
