So... It's over
Undertakers streak is no more.
21-1
Now I have no problem with them breaking the streak but the pay off for 21 years was woeful.
The match was flat because Lesnar spent 20 minutes just punching and stomping. The crowd were even unusually quiet for a Taker match.
The booking also annoyed me because this result deflated the crowd and the matches that followed suffered.
Onto the title match.
The 6-8 month story of Bryan against the authority should of had a better pay off. That was an ordinary finish to an average match. Triple H and Stephanie run out and get hurt and carried away zzzz
Where's the innovation ?
Ah well, shame really because prior to the Taker match I thought it was quite a good PPV
was in course for an 8-9 out if 10 but last few matches took it down to a 6.5

Whether it was the right time is an open debate, but I'm not sure it was the right way at all. The reaction it got was proof of that.
Whoever was going to beat it had to be a believable threat going into the match. Take Cena as an example, that still would've been a massive shock but the reaction would've been a lot more energised. As Metro said, the flat reception from the crowd gave the impression he went out with a whimper - NOT GOOD.

The end was appropriate, everyone so shocked someone had actually beaten taker.
Taker was so slow in the ring i dont want to see him in another bad match

If that's the case, i.e. the E or Taker himself wanted him to bow out putting someone over..... then it should've been Brock and it should've been last year. That special novelty factor he had going into WM29 would've been laminated by the rub. Still wrong time and wrong guy imo, but it would've done much more good than him doing it this year.
I suppose one thing it did prove was just how finely tuned WWE's build to Bryan's moment was going into this PPV. No other WM main event of the last 10 years would've rescued that crowd except last nights

All this talk of an Undertaker vs Sting match. I think a match between those two now would be terrible. 5-10 years too late in my opinion.

It's been announced he was diagnosed with severe concussion. My guess is they ended the match early so he could go to hospital, but the ending wasn't the one that was planned

Confirmed backstage Undertaker had no idea what was going on in the match after receiving the first leg takedown and Brock had to carry it and talk him through it. Props to Brock Also he was backstage but I'm guessing he would have struggled to even get to the ring etc. so there was no point risking it. Maybe next week?

I'm thinking it's opened it up for a rematch before retirement?

I very much doubt it missg. He looked like he was going to have a heart attack. Another match would probably kill him.

Weird how it was only a year ago at the last Mania that Taker looked in pretty good form against Punk and came out of the event as one of the wrestlers who had been least banged up.
