Thoughts on the quotes above?
Sounds to me as though we wanted these players and maybe even had a chance of signing one or two of them, which shows money is surely not an issue for us and the reports of £100m offers for Bale probably aren't too far off the mark.
Who doesn't he want to blame, Woodward?

I think the reason the Ronaldo link was present was due to the contract situation he was having at Real Madrid at the time.
Wouldn't be the first time a footballer has used us to bump up their contract.

Moyes is an absolute clown. Fabregas literally came out about 5 times and said he didn't want to leave and Barca were never going to sell after they had just sold Thiago go to Bayern. It was well known that Bale only wanted to go Madrid and Madrid were never going to sell Ronaldo and he didn't even want to leave anyway. Instead of wasting time on frivolously pursuing highly unrealistic luxury players he should have targeting signings to strengthen our dire midfield. The guy didn't have a clue.
