Patience...

A few weeks ago LVG said it would take him a few months to get the players used to the formation and style he wants to implement.

I think we need to take note and realise the state the squad is in, their confidence and morale is clearly low, there is a lack of genuine quality and cohesion throughout the side and the now have their third manager in three years, something these players have never been through.

So we lost to Swansea, Liverpool and Arsenal could well have lost on the weekend too, but for some poor finishing and a silly red card.

There are still 37 games to go and I can see us adding a player or two on deadline day. I've said for a while now that Top 4 is not a guarantee this season, there are squads with more quality and balance who are going into the season on a high, if we get Top 4 it will be as good a feeling for me as winning a title in previous years.

What we can't do is back the sacking of the manager every time we don't meet expectations, otherwise we will end up like Liverpool. I can already, after one game see people doing the same they did with Moyes come Christmas. Give LVG a couple of years and we will see where we are then.

He controlled the football reasonably well when he stuck it in the net

I meant his first touch not a first time shot, the latter he hasn't had a problem with for any time in his career. The former however...

Not really

Wasn't the best but it isn;t like he hit 10 bad passes or anything

There was a couple of poor ones but it happens when you are the one trying to make things happen instead of continually playing it safe

Happened enough times for it to be noticeable macca . He wasnt the only one guilty of it but it was so unlike rooney

In fairness Rooney did have a few bad ones, although one was to Fletch, who stood still and didn't read where it was going, and got well rifted by Rooney at the time.

dont know how fletch stayed on the pitch. Herrera for fellaini and I was checking to see had moyes reappeared on the sideline

I would like to think that Fletch might be colour blind, but then that really doesn't explain why he keeps passing to the advertising boards on the sideline.
