The Ice Bucket Challenge Is Immoral

748 million people in the world do not have access to safe water.

Around 500,000 children die every year from diarrhoea caused by unsafe water and poor sanitation. Diarrhoea is the second biggest killer of children under five years old worldwide.

Every year, around 60 million children are born into homes without access to sanitation.

F1 celebrities and others self publicise themselves and then get into their private jets to fly back to their tax havens.

After poring over their heads a commodity that few people can afford = water.

Think about it.

Some very interesting, but extremely disappointing, reactions from you posters that care more about your own self image than you do about doing something worthy for a cause that you would consider worthy.

What is that “Social Media” website called that you are more interested in on posting your videos of you feeling great about having a bucket of drinking water poured over your head on the sole grounds that someone else did it before you?

GobFace?

People that care about others less fortunate than them selves do not need gimmicks or fads.

But you do. How sad.

People that care about issues can contribute either financially or more importantly by devoting their time free of charge to the cause they believe in.

there are various ways of looking at this wt , i would imagine that most of the people here are working , paying there taxes , N.I contributions etc so in there own way they are contributing plenty towards funding worthy causes ,
----------- when people are working and paying vast amounts in tax and NI to fund the NHS , benefits system and lord knows what else how much more can they reasonably be expected to contribute to every new or old charity that pops up --
