Does anyone remember this player?
He was called up for one of Strachan's earlier squads for a game at the tail end of the world cup qualifiers, I think it was against Serbia away and we lost 2-0?
Liam Bridcutt who was then at Brighton but has since moved to Sunderland played this game as a defensive midfielder and won man of the match. He seemed to win every tackle that he went for and he was also neat and tidy on the ball.
Everybody was raving about him after that game and saying he had a big future but despite this he has never been called up again since that game,
Anybody know why he's being overlooked?

well I was pretty impressed with his performance against Serbia and thought we had found a gem
It seems a little strange that he hasn't been given another chance, especially since he's moved up a division and is a now premiership player.
Surley he would be a better option than the likes of James MacArthur!
