Fan Confronting Wenger at Southampton

Firstly I'd like to say that I think the fan who confronted Wenger was a bit of a moron because even if you disagree with the manager's methods and dislike what he's done, there is a more civilised and mature way of expressing your feelings and emotions.

However - I have seen a series of comments from the supporters of Man United, Liverpool and Tottenham (whom I can't tag) branding it ''disgusting'', ''disgraceful'', using all sorts of hyperbole to describe the actions of one man.

Whilst what the guy did was stupid, why is it disgusting or disgraceful to confront him? At best it was slightly embarrassing perhaps, but what was so genuinely bad about it?

The issue is Wenger has failed to identify problems at the club that HE has created and perseveres with making decisions that enhance his ego instead of benefiting the club.

This is what it has come to and if there ever is a mass fan revolt, then it is a result of HIS ineptitude & lack of foresight.

So please - fans of other clubs - explain what was so disgusting about confronting Wenger?

Those were good times, Arsenal fans were on a promise. Pay off the stadium, and we'll have even more finances in the future.

The youth at that time looked incredible too, remember how excited we got when that wave of youngsters got to the Carling Cup final? 6-0 demolition of Sheffield United, etc.

It just all went wrong. Wages, egos, player management and of course the likes of City getting taken over, it all just went out the window. It was easy to be a Wenger fan then, it seemed like he had a plan. Unfortunately it hasn't worked out for the man, and he's failed to adapt to that failure.

Samir, that is the worst part of it all. We know he is here until 2017 (at least), there's nothing we can do about it. 2 and a half more years of lethargic performances, away day bottlejobs, big game collapses, ridiculous injury woes, confusing transfer policies, senseless tactics, embarrassing press conferences and fan infighting awaits.

Oh how I long for the days when I thought Wenger actually had a plan and would get us back challenging against all the odds. What a fool I was.

We should have our own reality TV show because that sounds like an absolute ratings magnet

I'm just waiting for the day Claude drowns him in is cringey Arsenal water bottle. Seriously though everyone is entitled to an opinion but I'd love to knock him out.
