Swindon Town V Peterborough Utd

The Robins host the Posh in an important game for both sides.

The Posh still have a very slim chance of making the play-offs, whilst the Robins will want to start winning again ahead of the play-offs.

Posh's Robbo is quoted as having said the following:

"I'm even more hungry for the job, the owner has laid the gauntlet down for myself and the players to have a real push in these final five games, and it definitely isn't over for us. I'm staying positive. We all want it, and we need to want it if we're going to be successful. The most important thing is we have a real go at trying to win these next five games, we have nothing to lose."

The Posh are likely to be without Jon Taylor, who was the brightest spark up front in Saturday's game against Walsall: but otherwise, we will field a decent team.

We need this win more than the Robins do. Now that Bristol City and Preston look likely to take the automatic promotion places, the Robins would be best placed to end up with semi-final play-off games against the dull, blunt Blades. A win for us, would put them in that position.

Whatever the result, I hope that both teams put in good performances for their respective set of supporters.

As ever, UTP!

Posh & Town are destined to play each other in a season. We must either go up together or go down together. Neither will happen this year.

Draw, probably. Last chance saloon for Posh and us this weekend. We both really have to win. I'll go for a nervy 2-1 win to keep the faint hope alive.
In other news around 60 of us are doing a charity walk from Oakwell to Valley Parade before our game on Sat 25th April in remembrance of the 56 Football fans who lost their lives.
There are 2 charities we are walking for, Jaxons Gift in Barnsley that supports families in our region impacted by the death of a young child.
And Bradford plastic surgery and burns research unit. If admin are ok with it, I will post links to the just giving pages later.
Cheers.

A result reflective of our season really - just not good enough (at scoring). A shame, because the other results went our way if we'd managed a win.

Good luck to Swindon for the end of the season.

You came to play and there wasn't a lot in it. Maddison missed a good chance for you and Williams for us. He also contrived to miss a (soft) penalty, his record from the spot is poor. It was an important win for us to stop the rot and we now need only 2 points from 6 games for a play off place. We should get that but I'm never happy until things are mathematically certain, and even then I'm nervous!

Maddison should have scored, but hopefully, Don, this result will have set you back to winning ways.

Enjoy the play-offs!

Thanks Thorney, they're always a lottery but I'm not complaining.

I reckon that Posh & Town will be playing each other next season. 2 good games to look forward to. Unlike some others.
