Well done Wigan !!

Fantastic score, well done on beating the Whino's . I wish I could see the sad faces of there fans after ANOTHER failure in the Final. Looks like the whino's will have to wait to play another poor side in the final like 1999 final,as this is the only way they will win.
Watching it again with a few beers now and I will watch it again and again.

Wigan needed theref and touch judges help at the end otherwise i think Leeds would have won.

From a neutrals point of view this was a good game spoilt at a key stage in the game by a possible forward pass that went unnoticed by the officials.
Whether it was or wasn't is a matter of opinion, but we must bring in the technology to assist the officials to make the correct decision.

Its not like a try from a forward pass is exceptional. Leeds are particularly adept at such a skill........they score bucketloads from plays which include a forward pass.. Its not like it was close. Look at Wigans other Cup matches and the margin of victory.
Overall a below par performance by wigan.

Would agree that the top teams (including Leeds) are adept at getting away with the forward pass on a regular basis.
If the technology is available to detect forward passes, now is the time to bring it in.

I actually agree that it was a below par display from wigan, they let leeds back into the game and it could of cost them dearly, the officials were pretty poor tbf, for both sides but wigan got the rub of the green, leeds played well enough and could of won it, not convincing by wigan but a wins a win and its another cup that goes to wigan in the history books

An exciting game once Leeds got back into it really enjoyable.

However it would be good to see a video ref for the big finals in the stands able to relay information to the ref in the middle to ensure decisions were correct.

Wigan just about deserved it but it could have gone either way with different decisions, might be a long while before Northern gets a trip to Wembley to watch his team.

lance todd tropy winner should have been Bentham, he made most of the plays, and its nice to see him scr ewing another team , i thought it was only cas he hated, now it appears to be yorkshire

I'm surprised Hetherington didn't insist on Silverwood.
Bentham gifted the game to leeds in the cup last year against wigan.Maybe he needed to even things up.

I'm neutral - despite the username - i thought it was a great game, and thought the best team won on balance.

However, i thought any 50/50 decision was defo given to the Warriors ..... and unfortunately they were the key ones.

On a separate note. It's about time the touch judges in RL started to earn there appearances. Time and time again they seem to shy away from actually making decisions or lifting the flag when necessary. They're supposed to assist the Ref, but continuously want to hide behind technology instead of making a decision based on what they see.

It's a pity the technology wasn't used for the loolie try, it was clearly Leeds head and feed, why wasnt it referred?
