He is not a FB, CB is his best position and he even said earlier in the season that he would prefer playing CB rather than filling in at RB

I agree I would much rather him play CB. However, I think Fazio and Vertonghen are good CB's already and I'd rather have Dier at RB than Walker.

Walker has had bad moments but overall is a good RB, he offers an attacking threat and suits Poch`s system. Also, with Walker in the team our results have been better than without.

Dier has looked uncomfortable at RB at times, especially first half of the season. That is not to say he won`t turn into a competent RB as well as CB, he still has plenty of time to develop.

I think I'd rather see Dier develop in one position rather than 2. He'd be much more effective in one because we know he can play in another. Whether that's CB or RB.

Been decent

Been pretty good second half of the season, been very impressed compared to his early season performances.

He's been ok this season. I wouldn't be against us sending him out on loan next season if we can get another CB in.

I think we need a better CB now anyway. I don't rate Kaboul to be honest, Dier can be a good back-up but we need somebody else in just to be able to fill a role.

Scratch that actually. Keep Dier with us next season and loan Yedlin instead. Already wasted 4-5 months by not loaning him in January

but you have people like don who couldn't see sense./

and now we have a player so far off the pace.

anyway he is probably just a marketing tool.

I don't think Yedlin is that good anyway. He is lightning quick, but he doesn't exactly have the quality for our squad. Wasted.
