Sako

Hi folks, I don't watch much second tier football, but it appears one of you ex-players is closing in on a move to us.

Is he any good?

I don't remember Sako saying he wouldn't go to Albion. I either missed it or dismissed as just footballer talk.

Either way I wish he was going somewhere else where I could hope he was successful but I'm not that magnanimous so as its them I'll be wishing him nothing but relegation next season.

Yeah maybe it was tats, maybe I misread something on my travels.

Either way, most players just play footy and don't declare undying love for their club each week, Sako seems to have made a hobby of it.

Can't say I will be worrying about it, once a player leaves I rarely care what they do next, far more concerned with what we are doing to strengthen our squad.

You know me tats, can put a positive spin on anything this last few seasons, but this summer feels different.

Maybe the heat is getting to me and all will be well in a few months.

I think it's fair to say that any player coming into a new club will say what the press and fans want to hear, that's normal. Are they in love with the club? No, they are there to play a game they love and get paid for doing it.

Only when a players stays at a club for a lengthy period of time can they come out and state that they love their club. Players like Bull for Wolves and Gerrard for Liverpool can be put into that category, to name but a few.

Sako could have stayed, but he believes he is Premiership quality. Well only time will tell if that's true, but he wants more money and that's where football in general has gone down the pan. It is called greed, there's no other word for it and I believe we should take a leaf out of the MLS' books and have a salary cap. No player on this earth can justify 300,000 (15m per year) a week for kicking a ball around.

I honestly cannot believe what I'm reading. Did Sunny "you get what you deserve in this world" Sunshine real just type that?

He really is doing some U-turns today!
