He says it in the first scene. The sith haven't been seen ftor a miliennia. The jedi were undone by their hubris but they weren't that obtuse.

Hey String - finally finished Bad Batch last night. Enjoyed it, thought S3 had a decent pace to it but I think for me it probably peaked in S2.
