Vardy here for the long haul

It has been said many many times already that Vardy isn't interested in leaving Leicester but nobody seems to take it seriously.

About a month a go he said the "club match his ambitions" but still people think the best thing to him is to move on. I'd argue the best thing for the player is for him to enjoy his football and as long as he is happy, then that's the best thing for him. If Vardy chooses to stay at Leicester then that is clearly what he thinks is best for him.

I've also said that our players wont be jumping ship because they want to be a part of where this club is going. The owners have said they want to make us a top five team and we're well on the way, a lot earlier than expected and having spent £150m less than they planned to spend to achieve it.

Next season Leicester City will change forever and that's not an exaggeration, its an absolute fact! We will 100% be increasing our capacity to 42,000, the 8th biggest in the country. This was confirmed again on Saturday. It is also highly likely that we will be playing either Champions League or Europa League and lets face it, either will do.

The fact we'll be playing in Europe will mean we will have a better chance of attracting better players and having finished in a European qualification spot, we'll earn a sshiitt load of money too so we will be able to afford to pay top wages. It will take an absolute disaster for that not to be the case next season and I just don't think this team is capable of a capitulation like that.

So why are players going to want to leave again? Just so they can write Manchester United/City/Liverpool/Chelsea/Arsenal on their CV? I think anyone who thinks that is well overvaluing their club and undervaluing Leicester.

People don't get how important team spirit is and how hard that is to give up. Imagine leaving a club you have fun at everyday with your mates, who play good football and play well as a team, to join a club that's all disjointed, no harmony between players, a style of football that wouldn't be enjoyable to play and who are below them in the league. Its a no brainer for me!

There will still be plenty of big club supporting fans that will still believe they know what's best for our players but I'm not losing any sleep over anyone leaving any time soon. If we qualify for Europe then Mahrez will stay for at least another season so I'm not worried about him going anywhere for 18 months.

Apparently he said the only teams he wants to play for are Barcelona (his dream) and Marseille because that's who he supports and he wants to end his career there. If Barcelona come in for him then fair enough but that's unlikely with the players they already have, they don't need him.

This club is heading in a new direction and the Leicester City we have all known over the years, will be evolving into a new club. Exciting times are ahead and the big teams are going to have to get used to us being in their faces every season! For as long as we have the Thais, we will be successful and you can take that to the bank

Reading this back was the most productive morning I've had at work in a while

The way Arro talks I was still kinda shocked for some of it to be true and it not to be a 14 year old on the other end of the account

My favourite poster of all time. This article is a treasure. Though it’s a shame about all the deleted posts, who is it?
