Peterborough V Southend

Payback time for the Posh, as they seek to avenge the 2-1 defeat that took place in front of the TV cameras at Root's Hall.

We were not at our current best in that game, therefore I'm expecting a win on Saturday (unless Southend become a bogey team).

A win would set us up for the league games coming up against second-placed Gillingham (away) and then first-placed Burton (at home), followed by the FA Cup tie at WBA/Bristol City.

Results have been disappointing for Southend recently, with Phil Brown imprisoning his team in the changing room after their last defeat. They won't want to let him down again, so the game will be a toughie.

UTP!

Must win game to go into the big ones with momentum.

There's talk of Maddison going to Sunderland and Washington going to a Championship club before the end of this month. Let's hope it's never, or later rather than sooner.

0-0 - a fair result against a spoiling Southend team desparate not to lose.

I just hope that Forrester doesn't take any future penalties!

Below average display today and a gritty Sarfend deserved their 0-0.

No idea why Forrester was on pens as his shots are always weedy. Should have let Maddison on it, or Washington as the main striker.

Never mind, can't play dazzling every week and at least we didn't lose. On to Gillingham and a tough test next week, hopefully we turn up for that one as we will need to.

In full agreement about Liverpool who can write off this season - too many players off injured, etc. Hopefully, Klopp will get some better players in (and new owners prepared to splash the cash).

As for your first and only team, they're suffering a blip at the present time - a win against Spurs in the FA Cup on Wednesday would be useful.
