Afternoon all.
Having seen the blackmail thread over on the Celtic board (solidarity, my 606 brethren - we shall not be moved) it got me thinking about 606 personas. More specifically, whose family and friends would be most surprised/disappointed/bemused by the sum total of their online postings.
Off the top of my head 4 candidates spring to mind, but I imagine i've missed an enormous number.
5 ACE FACE
Everyone knows ACE as a foul mouthed, literate and creative poster, whose initial cameo preceded his arrival by some time. Some of his posts are enough to make a sailor weep, and he's not averse to a good lowbrow article. We know ACE is a father of young kids - however I suspect that those who know him in real life wouldn't be especially shocked by his online offerings.
4 Mafiaboy
What can we really say about maf that you don't already know? The online version has only one goal - to bring everyone who dares converse with him down to the very basement level, and then to wallow. And yet... We've seen him create an actually readable article. There's something more in there, somewhere. This is why I think that were his offline contemporaries shown the detritus he spews on here, they would be a little surprised and disappointed.
3 TCP
TCP wins the outright wackiness award. A producer of endless one-liners, some of excellent quality and some less commendable, but hey with the volume he's produced over years you're bound to miss a few times. Also the man who popularised and . You've got to assume that TCPs offline folks would be fairly bemused by his style, however you've also got to assume that that sort of anti-scouse sentiment would run deep, so perhaps surprised is the wrong word.
2 BraveheartTyke
Tykey boy the site's numero uno commenter by volume and owner of the titanic thread amongst other monstrosities... err sorry I mean masterpieces. Tyke takes the persistence crown, which given some of the competition is NO MEAN FEAT. Now assuming Tyke's friends and family are humans and not servers and processors, it's a safe bet that if they got to see some of his online projects, well bemused isn't strong enough.

I'd say Choice but its maybe just a slightly less strange BraveheartTyke.
Tyke has to be the best pick, surely there would be actual worries about his mental health.
