Bolton Wanderers v Milton Keynes Dons

I've said this before. A must win game. Bit different this time as today's game at the macron v mk dons is a REALLY must win game. 7 points from safety, 8 in reality if you consider Boltons inferior goal difference. Looking at the next 3 league games mk dons h, wolves a, Rotherham h. Nothing less than 7 points will do if Bolton are to have a sniff of survival eespecially with tougher fixtures coming up. Team news. The injuries are piling up for Lennon. David wheater, Max Clayton, Zach Clough, Emile heskey all out. Gary madine very doubtful. Ben Amos should return in goal and shola ameobi the last striker standing will probably start in his last appearance before leaving the club. The injuries mean the job is getting tougher for Lennon. Can't sign anyone and hardly any scope for changes in the team. Expecting just Amos and ameobi for rachubka and madine as the only 2 changes from the Eastleigh match.

Its possible but bolton have to go on a run now. There is no evidence though that they can put back to back wins together and also mk dons were very poor. Very tough run in including games v derby, Middlesbrough and hull in the last 6 games and fulham away last game where bolton always get beat. Too much to do to stay up tbh.

Looking at that line up its down to Holding to hold up the rest the drinks may well be on admin1 if they get a shot from outside the box I fear the worst.

Was my pre match comment a fluke or was it my shiny crystal balls I just don't know did Holding hold them up was their shot and goal from outside the box how do I make the red phone ring moments before the next match I had to run off and skip the usual banter.

Some thoughts:
Was struggling to pick a man of the match at times they all played well. Pratley was good, Silva excellent, Holding was good also, Feeney got his finger out of his backside and put in a decent showing also.

Referee was shocking. Though their number 23 with the benjamin button hairdo was playing up for him.

In the end it should've been 5-6 with a bit more composure but I can't complain at how we performed.

Shame about ameobi having to go. Much more useful an option off the bench than heskey or dobbie. Shows the scale of the financial problems at the club you can pull in £20 million and still have to let players go.

No one seems to come on this forum late evening these days. I remember the good old days when it used to go on into to small hours.
