NW200 RIP Malachi.

Sad day for the family and friends of twenty year old English biker Malachi Mitchel Thomas, who died today racing Supertwins at road race NW200.

Fans knew it was serious when racing was delayed for two hours.

On Thursday, local rider Ryan Farqhar had a bad crash and has just come out of a coma.

Once it was announced Malachi had passed away, racing was canccelled and we all headed home in a biker car convoy.

Petrolheads, bikers and especially racers know the the adrenalin rush, and the risks.

A rare breed.

Jeez, i only clicked on to have a look for any footy gossip and saw this.

I raced back in the day (GSXR-1100) on short circuits but to race 'on the roads' was always the dream that sadly never materialised.
As tragic as this news is, we all have to go at some point. Doing what you love 'aint a bad way to go though and i'd equally have been happy to chance my arm.
My thoughts, as always, are to those who are grieving but equally i hope they take the positives.
Life is for living.

RIP to all who ever dare to live the dream

Well said man.

I have never legally raced as it were, but on bikes from my teens.

The families pay a price, but usually want races to go on.

I only saw young Malachi for the first time this week racing at the Cookstown 100 road race here, with him flying along country roads.

You are into the Moto GP, Mudd?

Rossi still got it.

Rossi still has it, amazing the hunger he's got at his age

Think he is too wise for it these days, that is, not taking risks he wold have taken when he was younger.
