League 2 Commences

This Saturday, with the visit of Carlisle - the furthest of any team from Portsmouth at an eye-watering 350 miles, or nearly 6 hours traffic-free driving.

Lots of comings and goings in the close-season sees multiple player-of-the-season-award winner and captain (always in spirit, dedication and motivation of others if not wearing the armband) Ben Davies vacate the right back position, leaving for an improved contract at Grimsby Town.

Hopefully the new players have settled in through pre-season and will see us into a winning start.

Last season was up and down, with good and bad patches, so hopefully this time around we can remain consistent and finally escape League 2.
