Well I went to the game yesterday and my thoughts...

First half we looked very good, they never really looked like scoring and we looked quite dangerous, Proctor and Madine look likely to cause problems as the level, even Trotter looked good in the middle. Beavers and Wheater should be excellent in this division, they mopped everything up. Keeper is a million times more composed, the future inevitable injury to Wheater could cause issues. Moxey still isn't great defensively.

Second half we sat back and we really sat back. Their goal was unlucky, great save by the keeper but the rebound went straight to their guy, the way we gave that free kick away was stupid from our own corner. We hung on and they never looked like scoring but we really should have put the game to bed. Wilkinson didn't impress me when came on, and no one knew Taylor had come on I think he had one touch.

Overall impressed, we look more organised and fit, and despite conceding we didn't completely capitulate which was promising. We could do with a winger at the very least.

Not seen Wilkinson since Rotherham the season before last. He was awful back then, seems no improvement. He's an obvious one to let go to bring someone in.

Its not gone unnoticed swie since you have had family around to entertain or been busy buying a hunting lodge and been missing during a match thread we have won.

When I arrive back in England I will be hunting for the elusive striker. Not sure I'll find him though.

I'm still trying to figure what happens next summer if we get there. The high earners who's contract are at an end will go we will have a few one year contracts up and loans will have gone back plus we may have one or two go in January we've cleared out the youth there doesn't look to be enough coming through that route.
It still looks like a major rebuild will be required next summer where does the money come from I wander the high earners who leave won't amount to much we'll still have bills and Presidenti Ed to pay before we look to pay fees for players we also must remind K&D not to forget the tax man.

From being loss causes to everybody wants you. The Beano come up with a good one every time just when you need it.
Four yes four players are wanted and we ain't for selling or loaning.

On the other hand we have to sacrifice squad members to make room. Does that mean we have other ways of making room ? I can see Mr Herriot attending to Max and Capt Prat to allow PP space for his two new players providing they are free of course.

Makes a bit of sense to me ,Wilkinson & Dervite when fit, could be the players to make way for a winger, and maybe a striker on loan. It's only Dervites injury that's slowing the deal down but he's supposed to be back in training, wrap him in cotton wool till the deals done.🤗

There's a choice of players to sacrifice we'll have to watch we don't let one position go to fill another and then pick up injuries where the let go man could have covered. It's the numbers game we ideally need a bigger squad to be able to cover all positions properly.
We have a few which won't make it through a cold muddy winter intact on top of any normal injuries then there are suspensions to consider.
