This Glentoran FC team is an absolute disgrace this year. It is always easier to fire the manager than it is to fire the players, but in this case, the long term effects would be better to get rid of this bumbling bunch of incompetents, including that out-of-shape ex-Rangers loser.

Bad times over in the east.
Club has been in decline for some time now and thought the decision to sack Patterson was crazy.

Nice to hear from you. I can even remember Tommy Dickson (The Duke of Windsor) and that famous import Jackie Milburn who got goalkeeper attention from 30+ yards out. Unfortunately there seems to be a lack of personalities in the Irish league today which, when added to very small crowds, makes the game somewhat uninteresting. Glentoran could use a Sammy Hughes, Sammy Lowry, Trevor Thompson, Jimmy Murdock etc. etc. They were great for the game and, at least, there was consistency from week to week. Good Luck!
