Bolton 2nd in league one on a run of 6 straight wins are favourites to win against grimsby who are 8th in league two who's recent form has not been good with just 1 win and 2 goals in 6 games in October. Team news. The injury list is now extensive. Mavies, pratley and Thorpe are out long term. Jay spearing has joined that list this week and derik is extremely doubtful. Josh vela conveniently sits out the game suspended leaving liam trotter as the only fit central midfielder. The availability of loanees anderson, ameobi and Henry is unknown at this stage. Personally i would ring the changes today as the cup is not important as the priority is to finish the season in a top 2 position and see what that brings. Possible call ups for squad players alnwick in goal, Buxton, dervite, moxey, c.taylor, proctor and youngsters Perry, earing, samizadeh. Best news is max Clayton could make his comeback. Not sure what the atmosphere will be like. Wisely only the lower tiers will be open and with 1500 grimsby coming shouting fish at us could be.

It doesn't make for good reading. I think most of us accepted that the club would be underfunded with Anderson and Holdsworth taking over the club.
Three people are responsible. First and foremost Eddie Davies for leaving the club in the state it was left and also for insisting on the negative clause in the contract of sale. Then we have the terrible duo who were desperate enough to agree to anything that was put before them.
In particular you have to question what Holdsworth agreed with Anderson in return for him coming on board. It obviously wasn't a good decision, as matters are obviously not good between the two. Holdsworth is significant by his absence.
It maybe that in the end we will find out the truth as to what has transpired between the two. In the meantime all we can do is wait and see how this farce turns out.
Whilst matters on the pitch are massively improved, the story of the funding of the club remains unconfirmed. It would be a great pity if the latter was to impact on results on the pitch.

We are still missing a few key documents which would lead to the lifting of the embargo allowing us to do real business in January. Without being able to buy or bring in players required Ken may fail in his ambition of moving up a league it is there in the higher league he states he'll be able to bring in outside investment.
You'd think all this would have been sorted by now rather than play hide and seek with the powers that be and Deano.

Monday morning time to start building up for another cup game to break up the week.
The Beano stick with a normal boring Monday theme wasting a page telling you what you already knew about the finances. Will tomorrow herald the all new Where is Deano competition its a bit like spot the ball but a lot harder. You'll have to wait for Feb 14th for any chance of a reconciliation for the couple who once looked so happy when they bought your football club.

FA cup draw in a couple of hours on Beeb 2 at 7 what will you do watch Emmerdale as usual and look in before you go to bed to see who we got.
We could do with an easy ride to keep the prize money rolling in for another couple of rounds.
