Nintendo Switch

Anyone plan on getting this?

I personally will be avoiding it (unless my kids manage to add it to their 2017 Christmas list- fingers crossed the price may have dropped by then)

£280.00 for the console thats well below spec (32GB internal storage, likely to be used after a software update to a couple of games)

Having to pay an annual subscription to play online isnt something that will drag the casual gamers in either.

Also a lack of games have been announced to be available on launch date (a new Zelda thats a Wii U port, Mario Kart 8 upgrade and a couple of games that sound like they should have been released with the console).

Any thoughts/ opinions on this? Could this work or is it a sign that Nintendo should have taken the option of turning into a software house and just focus on releasing games for other consoles instead?

The initial teaser trailer was received so well, but Nintendo just had to go and screw it up. The price of peripherals is ridiculous, the online fee looks like even more of a joke than PSN and there's a complete lack of games.

Can see it doing well in Japan but bombing everywhere else. Basically, another PS Vita.

I have about 5% interest in it but i have no intention of buying it.

The last nintendo console I bought was the N64...

"Nintendo don't bomb"

That's sarcasm, right?

This is the first Nintendo console since the Gamecube that I will be buying it. This is something different. And I like the idea of a hybrid home and portable console, as well as cartridge based, no need to install games, and no load times. The new Zelda game looks amazing too. Pre-orders seem to have been sold out for most retailers, typical Nintendo low supply stunt.

hmmm i was of the thinking that this was gonna be a massive mistake from Nintendo. I just dont get the hype however the feedback on here from most seems like there is a fair bit of interest in it.

They will need to be quick in getting the titles out for it tho as has been said there is very little games to play on release and is the main reason why they will not be charging for their online use (at first)

Probably sit back and wait - see how it all pans out before making a decision

The Zelda game looks amazing, and so does the Mario even though it aint due out till Winter.

Really hope a new Metroid game is in the works.
