Time to give up?

On the radio this morning I heard it explained that Worcs vastly superior 1st innings performance was down to the change in the weather between the two innings. I accept Derbys had the worst of 1st conditions, but not personally convinced that is the only explanation.

Today's weather is similar to day three, and we are 26/4 off only nine overs.

I've always been against 'regional' teams - believing them to be the death knell of the smaller counties, and just a way to concentrate the games revenues even more into the hands of the test-hosting counties... but really, when Derbys produce such spineless performances so frequently, is their demise worth resisting?

To be clear, I don't mind the team I follow losing, nor occasionally getting creamed... but to be so regularly blown away... what would the game actually be losing if they did not exist in the future?

I see we followed Durham's example by letting their last couple of wickets get a ton yesterday afternoon.

Now 60/3 and aiming to snatch a defeat from the jaws of victory once more, (although from 31/3 I may suggest a mini-revival - I live in hope)!
