With GOLDUST returning for a last hurrah who else feels like it's a great move by the WWE?

For me GOLDUST encapsulates all that is the perfect heel.

His music is so genius in its composition and imo is the most brilliant entrance theme in the history of the game. It's so very indulgent sultry, dreamy, hypnotising yet dark, sinister and oozing with menace.

His characterisation is phenomenal in that it is a physical manifestation of the music. Gold has many properties and a subconscious effect on us, as does the juxtaposition of a man with a blond wig, a robe, and a stunning woman by his side.

GOLDUST challenges our perception of Alpha male. He exudes feminine (not gay! Don't be confused here!!) overtones, not camp. It's that disconcerting predatory fear men have of blokes who are are gay a who are tough and predatory (the old "bums to the wall" spiel). One minute he is rubbing his body the next he is knocking seven bells out of someone.

From top to bottom Goldust is the quintessential anomaly and imo the best creation of all time.

Back in the attitude era a large majority of fans were imo "smart fans" and they get the gimmick and it showed. However today such creative excellence may be wasted. His return needs to be handled carefully.
