Game Week 3

Hull City v Portsmouth

A funny old game this one, one in which Portmsouth dominated most of and took a 2-0 lead shortly after halftime, however a moment of sheer madness by Arturo Vidal which resulted in both a penalty and a red card swa Hull come right back into it, in a game in which they probably shouldnt have got anything. The Pen and a late goal by youngster Isak saw the game end in a very one side draw

Hull City 2 - 2 Portsmouth
Portmsouth - Lewandowski(KDB,17), Sanchez(Ghoulam,51)
Hull City - Forsberg(Pen 67), Isak(Dahoud,83)

MOTM - Dahoud
Arturo Vidal

Leicester v Arsenal

A top drawer performance from Leicester against an Arsenal side not quite at the races today, with Hazard and Ronaldo both finding form it was both who finished this game off, creating and scoring one each to see the away team off. Don't get me wrong Arsenal had a few chances in particular Aubameyang but he was well marshalled by the home side defence

Leicester2 - 0 Arsenal
Leicester - Hazard(Ronaldo,32), Ronaldo(Hazard,63)
MOTM - Musacchio

Liverpool v Spurs
A nice game to watch both having good possession of the ball and creating chances, Spurs hit first with a lovely move with Sane eventually crossing in for Lukaku to power home, chances came and went and it took until changes were made from Liverpool for them to equalise, Dybala setting up Icardi beautifully and he slotted home, a fair result in the end from two good sides

Liverpool 1 - 1 Spurs

Liverpool - Icardi(Dybala,72)
Spurs - Lukaku(Sane,19)
MOTM - Fabinho

Aston Villa v Everton

Villa staring favourites in this came blasting out and scored very early through Benzema who doubled his tally on 13 minutes to put Everton to the sword, they were hit hard, but they plugged away and hit villa on the counter on 43 mins to give them some hope, they held onto the ball well but created very little and Villa try to put this to bed but as they were attacking again Everton hit them on the counter and sub Welbeck pounced, with very little time remaining Benzema completed his hat trick and the game was over for a shattered Everton side

Aston Villa 3 - 2 Everton
Villa - Benzema - (Hattrick) Robben,3, Cesc,14, Mata,81)
Everton - Lacazette( Draxler,43), Welbeck(Pastore, 70)
MOTM - Benzema

Wolves v Brighton

Poor finishing and good goalkeeping kept this game at 0-0 for the majority, making it a rather dull occasion on a dull day for fans of both sides, not much to write home about until subs were made and it was Wolves who made the impact, Son setting up Immobile who finished neatly, this was the winner of the game, neither team taking much from the performance but a good 3 points for Wolves.

Wolves 1 - 0 Brighton
Wolves - Immobile (Son, 80)
MOTM - Cech

Newcastle v Stoke

A young Stoke side full of ambition going to a top class Newcastle side looking for 3 points, they started very brightly maybe shocking Tranq's Troops a little, a goal came after the Stoke front two combined very well, Rashford doing the hard work and Martial slotting home, they pushed and gave there all to get a second but Newcastle soaked up the pressure, Casemiro in particular doing well, they scored themselves just after half time, Suarez proving for Nainggolan to drive home a thunderous shot from distance. Stoke gave there all, but as they tired Newcastle became a threat and it was that same old fck that scored Suarez finishing off a neat move involving himself and Coutinho.

Newcastle 2 - 1 Stoke
Newcastle (Nainggolan(Suarez,49), Suarez(Coutinho69)
Stoke - Martial(Rashford,23)
MOTM - Casemiro

Birmingham 1-2 Chelsea
James.R (Benteke) ; Neymar (Aguero), Neymar (A.Sandro)

What started as a tight cagey affair with both sides having chances ended with Brum facing a barage of attacks. Chelsea had the majority of the first half possession but there were as many chances at either end with Brun's central trio causing a lot of bother at the other end. With things level, Brum's changes invited too much pressure as they found it more difficult to get out and Chelsea's fbs and wingers working together caused too much bother for them down the wings.

MOTM: Neymar
