they need defenders, we need midfielders. so how about a swap. we give them jenkinson, djourou, squillachi and gibbs, while they give us thiago, affelay, the next messi, the next cesc, the next villa and the next next cesc (who's probably 9). this way both teams will be happy. they wont be conceding silly goals to real sociedad (or whatever that bloody team is called) while we also wont be conceding silly goals to kidderminster harriers and leyton orient. its a win win situation. hell, they can even have almunia and if they behave, we might even throw in don vito. how could they possibly refuse.

with their current crop, it will be really hard for the next messi, the next cesc and the next villa to break into their squad. we all know how arsene loves kids (in a nice ronald mcdonald way. wenger is not a child molester ) and gives them a chance to shine. these three lads will really be able to thrive and by the time they hit 22, xavi will no longer be with us (in footballing sense. im not in anyway saying xavi will have passed away. that rose is merely a romantic gesture) so we wont have to worry about the whole barca dna issue. that said when the next cesc ineveitably returns to barca, the next next cesc will step up so i have it all planed out. wenger, if your listening, dooo it. if you're not listening, i'll write this on a post card and i'll post it through your letter box. it could be our little secret
