Saw the just concluded FA tie between Liverpool and WBA. Kept an eye on Evans.
For the life of me, what the feck does Arsene see in this Manu has been. Lightweight, no pace, cannot bring the ball out and poor positionally. He is no better than any of our current CBs and that includes the retiring Per. Would be a bizarre and terrible signing. Thank heavens he appeared to have copped a hamstring injury towards the end.
In other news please join me in laughing at the dippers. Wenger for all the bullsheet he sprouts these days was spot on in digging out the media for all the plaudits they reserve for trophyless clubs like Pool and Spurs whilst giving Arsenal a hard time.

He is awful, hopefully it's just media lies

Funny how, city, arsenal and Chelsea have all had a look at him. Either he's crap or these three managers are.......

Chelsea are not linked with him at all so that answers your question

It is a bit weird. Strange that city have been interested in him as well. Could be all media made up crap of course, who knows. He’s not terrible, just at best an average premiership defender. Probably a better option than chambers or holding I guess. He’s not better than kos or mustafi.I can definitely see him being pretty Å›hït under wenger

Centre backs only really shine and gain consistency at Evans age. He's won several league titles and trophies. For the price he's at he's a good purchase based on those factors. I suspect that's why he's in demand

He is a decent player, but would not have got a look in at Arsenal 15 years ago. An upgrade on Mikel Silvestre when he came to the club.

Wenger is seeing his time come to an end. So everything is about short termism. There are very few experienced players available at a reasonable price who can have an immediate impact. Liverpool just bought a defender for £75m who can't defend at all well. Its just what the market is like.
