On Sunday May 6th Wolves travel to Sunderland for the final game of the season. The match has a kick off time of 12.30.
Sunderland who are already relegated have nothing but pride to play for. It would appear that the heart has gone out of the team, the supporters and the club in general. With the travelling support being restricted to 3,000 thanks to Sunderland’s refusal to make more tickets available, it can only be assumed that there is a fear that the travelling support will drown out the home support and there is a very real possibility that that will happen anyway despite the restricted number of tickets made available.
On the face of it Wolves also have nothing left to play for, having already been crowned as league champions. The players and the Head Coach however have no intention of taking pity on their struggling opponents, with the 100 points milestone just one point away it will be business as usual for Nuno’s wolfpack.
With Wolves fans not wanting this amazing season to end, it is going to be a long wait before the Premier league opening weekend of August 11/12. So many memorable performances to reflect on in the weeks to come, let’s hope that this game can be added to that list.

The only way Albion can stay up is if Swansea v Southampton ends a draw in their match on Tuesday and then they both lose their last match and Albion win their last match. Pretty remote chance really.
Maybe they will fall into that oh so common trap of giving the managers job to someone that has done well for a handful of games as a temporary boss. Very rarely works out well in the long term
