Rate season so far

Results are better than expected. Even considering our less tricky fixtures after the first 2 I expected us to drop a couple of points at least during this run. Didn’t think we’d be 2/3 points off top at this stage.

Our performances haven’t always been good despite the results, which is to be expected with a new manager, but it’s great we’ve still been winning. And now bit by bit out performances seem to be improving, even defensively. Got along way to go of course, and need to strengthen the team. But considering the mess we were in last year and the poor squad emery inherited he is doing very well with them so far. Don’t think we’ll have it in us to beat the top teams, but early signs are showing we can get good results against the rest, home and away. Which hopefully will put us within a good shout of top 4

So far I give a 4 because of our defence.

Man City and Chelsea away should be an easy 6 points according to certain pundits giving Emery stick who in turn they praise certain teams for being brave after losing 4-2 to Barcelona. If we manged to close a 6 point gap with our bad start what does it tell you about the teams that finished above us who have dropped points having not played BOTH City and Chelsea yet? Will they be expected to draw both or pick up 6 points
