World T20 Draw

Group A - England, India, Qualifier
Group B - Australia, West Indies, Qualifier
Group C - Sri Lanka, South Africa, Zimbabwe

All England need now is to have either The Netherlands or Ireland to make it all complete.

Agreed hopefor. I had a feeling GG could speak the language :p Han var rett og slett for flink :p

When does this T20 World cup tournament start? and who is it on here who is predicting the same sides that did well in the 50 over format would do well again in this format? They are not even close to being the same.

maksi, this wc is not being played in england. It is in srilanka which is pretty much the same conditions which india have. And this is also the same place where your bowlers lost you the match against srilanka and couldnt pick a single wicket. Pakistan, srilanka, india are definately going to qualify. Australia are the other team that have a good chance. And please Maksi can you please explain why you think the same teams as 50over world cup wont do well????

One year from October Maksi. Batsmen from the sub continent specialise in slogging, so the short formats are right up their street.

care to explain how they won the world cup 2011, just months ago? Or was it other teams couldnt cope with the subcontinent heat?

Winning the world cup on home soil is the fig leaf that all India clings to. Just another Three and a half years and that will disappear. It wont be a pretty sight.

hopefore, then why have teams not won any world cups at home? Its not as easy as you think. We also managed to reach the finals in south africa if you remember? And also it was not months ago when every one was saying that there is no chance india can win at home. Did you guys forget when bangladesh reached 290+ runs agaisnt india? everyone was like, india cant even reach semifinals with this bowling attack???

viru, India are a very good ODI team but continually reminding us of their WC victory will not paper over the cracks of the problems they have.
I read a piece on cricinfo this morning where Srikkanth India's chief selector called the tour to England as just a bad dream. He also reminded us of their WC victory.
If the problems India displays are not taken seriously, that 'bad dream' might turn into a nightmare.
