Chavhanga signs for the Dragons!

Just read this on planetrugby:

I think this could possibly be a huge signing. Anyone know anymore about Chavhanga? I only remember a few years back he was supposed to be the mutt's nuts, but then fell off the Springbok radar. Maybe having him in the XV may mean we'll see more of Adam Hughes in the centre too

WOW what a coup! fantastic acquisition he is like grease lightning such an exciting winger. He currently holds the SA try scoring record for one match with 6 tries i think on his debut. His defence is perhaps not up to the standard but who cares two very dangerous wingers for the dragons

What's wrong with Mike Poole? He was playing well lately!

A fair point Jerry. You mind if I call you Jerry? However, Poole's inclusion is largely down to World Cup and injuries robbing us of players. And no offence because he has stepped up, but that shows how bare bones we are at the moment and if we lose him or another winger then we have to go back down into the premiership. With the number of games we'll have its fair to say he'll get plenty of gametime even when Will Harries/Aled Brew come back, and it's good to have such strong competition and someone fresh to push the standards up!

Leeds, have you seen much of him lately? I have to confess I've not seen any of his performances in the last few years.

I have been very impressed with the Dragon's findings lately, especially in the backs. Besides Tovey, Fussell, Harries etc. the new players like Poole and Steffan Jones have put in solid performances when called upon. I hope we can continue to do that, but imagine having players of top quality sides like the 3N internationals to play alongside these.

gecko well i am an avid follower of the super 15 and I know that in the past couple of seasons he hasnt been first choice!?!? The mind boggles at times. He fell down the pecking order at the Lions behind van rensburg and mapoe and he also experienced the odd injury and unfortunately he has been unable to regain his place. The problem is he can go missing at times but then again he can explode into games from nothing so it is definitely worth a punt!

Great first game! Made a real impact with a flashy first touch, and was hungry in defence too.
