Resurgence of Windies

Great for the game if the current test win against England sets the tune for Windies revival. For far too long, tests were invariably won by the home team and there has been a significant gap in standards between top 4 (Eng, Aus, Ind, S.A) and remainder 4. Windies and Pakistan resurgence will be great for the game because these 2 nations have produced most naturally gifted crickets.

England focused far too much on ODI cricket that led to World Cup success and domination in shorter format but at the cost of form in test cricket. Another reason attributable to Aus long term success is they replace the out of form players regardless of their past achievement. They gave strong indication to Ponting, Steve Waugh , Hussey and others to retire gracefully before they are sacked. South Africa persisted far too long with Amla & Steyn and England are committing howler by picking Anderson and Broad. Win always takes precedence over records.
