Broony vital for the 10

Running the risk here of the usual ‘Celtic Da’ jibes but don’t a give a sh!t. Our captain is pivotal to the quest for 10. His leadership on and off the pitch is going to be invaluable over what will be a nerve-wrecking season. It’s no coincidence that players & managers (past & present) speak so highly of him. It blatantly obvious that he is the beating heart of this Celtic team. I know he has the miles on the clock now and will need to be used wisely by Lennon but if Broony performs and leads to his ability the 10 is ours. Also don’t be fooled by the bears - they fear him and would give their eye-teeth to have him.

Has there ever been a footballer in the annals of the Scottish game who has won so much in the domestic game with such limited ability? Seriously doubt it.

With no Winter break this season, hopefully he gets given extended rests out of the side. No excuse for Lennon not to rest him as plenty of others in the squad can arguably do a better job. Otherwise the tail end of the season could be a car crash for him.

Good to have a game tonight. Shake off the 'ring rust'

He didn't last as long as brown, but Scott Wilson with rangers 98-02 is as close as you'll get to someone picking up trophies that should have been struggling to get a ticket

Big Ivan Toney rejected Brentford.

That should pave the way for us if we're really interested.

Not at £10M

That's a ridiculous asking price

There's no way we are ever spending that on him

Duffy I'm not fussed about ,no idea if he's good or not

Infact I'm pretty sure he has donkey moments from what I recall

Brown is second only to McGregor as the best midfielder in scotland - even now.

He's had a slow start to the season. Remember he's a midfield dynamo type. Brown has worked his erse of to be a Celtic player and more importantly leader. A good pro will know what to do. Celtic also have a duty to keep him at his peak.

Aye - think I’ll side with every manager at the club and country during his career.

Moments like rugby park and the late winner v Hamilton show how his qualities are needed - not the actual scoring but the drive.

Never really understand how a lot of fans focus more on qualities that are not his strength than those that are. Most important player at Ibrox during 9iar for rangers was Stuart McCall - way down the list of players there in terms of technique.

McCall and McStay played very well together in a midfield combination for Scotland. Italia 90 I think. Most rangers fans I knew liked McCall a lot.
