The increasingly divisive polarisation of American politics was on show last night in the 'debate'. Trump's apparent call to arms (Stand Back but Stand By)to the 'Proud Boys', a violent group of right wing thugs was w extremely concerning as is his continued refusal to state that he will step down if he loses the vote.
Accepting the outcome of the vote is the one thing that gives any government its legitimacy (translated on a personal level that means I dislike Boris and the Tories but recognise that they won the election and therefore have the right to dictate policies). Unbelievable a it seems, if Trump loses and refuses to step down, could America really be heading for another civil war?
